The mermaid cat mug is wheel thrown with a mid fire stoneware clay body. It’s trimmed and hand painted with underglaze before it’s bisqued. After bisque, wax resist is applied to the mercat and it’s glazed in a glossy white glaze and goes through a second firing. Then, gold and silver lustre details are added before it goes through a fourth and final firing. The finished piece is approximately 8 cm tall by 8 cm wide.
As lustre is metal, this piece is not microwave safe and hand washing is recommended.
